Maarten Hilferink
Founder and managing director
Maarten is the creator and main developer of GeoDMS. He holds a master's degree in econometrics from the University of Amsterdam and has over 25 years of experience developing algorithms for spatial data processing, land-use simulation, network routing and spatial optimisation. He is the architect of the GeoDMS software.
He contributed to the design and implementation of the Land Use Scanner (in operation at PBL since 1997), the EU-ClueScanner that became the land-use component of the JRC's LUISA platform, and the Vesta and Hestia energy models.
Jip Claassens
Spatial modelling consultant
Jip works on land-use and urbanisation modelling, and combines his work at Object Vision with a PhD at the department of Spatial Economics of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, on urbanisation and housing market dynamics.
He holds master's degrees in Spatial, Transport and Environmental Economics and in Earth Sciences and Economics, both from the VU. He publishes on housing development, land-use scenarios and planning support science; see publications.
Erik Oudejans
Geo- and software engineer
Erik works on the geodata visualisation and the GeoDMS C++ codebase. He holds a master's in Geoscience and Remote Sensing from Delft University of Technology, with a background in mathematical geodesy, estimation theory and machine learning.
Before joining Object Vision he worked on satellite-imagery based land classification and on geodetic support for weather radar calibration at TU Delft.
Martin van der Beek
Co-owner, IT consultant: until June 2026
Martin was with Object Vision from 1999 and co-owner of the company. He worked on spatial data, analysis and visualisation in the social domain: among them the WoonZorgWijzer and the WoonZorgWelzijnVerkenner: on projects using the Dutch base registrations (BAG, BRT, AHN), and on GeoDMS documentation and client support. Before Object Vision he worked at the Foundation for Applied Gerontology and at Geodan.
